Answers to questions we hear most often.

How much does it cost?

Monthly bookkeeping starts at $500. Your rate depends on the number of properties, asset types, and scope of work. We'll give you an exact number after understanding your portfolio.

My books are behind. Can you fix them?

Yes. We do catch-up and clean-up work to get your books current and accurate before moving you onto monthly service. Pricing depends on how far behind you are and how much cleanup is involved. We've seen worse than whatever you're dealing with.

Is there a contract?

No long-term contract. This is a month-to-month service. You can cancel anytime.

How do I send you documents?

We set you up with a secure portal for uploads. Most clients also connect their bank feeds and property management software directly, so we can pull data without manual re-entry.

Do we need to meet in person?

No. We're fully virtual and work with clients across the country. Everything happens over video calls, phone, and email. Most clients prefer it that way.

What software do you work with?

We work with QuickBooks Online, AppFolio, Buildium, Yardi, Cloudbeds, Hospitable, Hostaway, InvestNext, Juniper Square, SyndicationPro, Cash Flow Portal, and our own RRES App for debt and insurance tracking. If you're using something else, let us know and we can usually make it work.

What do I need to do each month?

Grant us access to your bank feeds and property management software. Answer occasional questions if something looks off. That's about it. Most clients spend very little time on this.

Do you prepare tax returns?

Yes. Our in-house CPA prepares individual, partnership, and corporate returns. We also prepare K-1s for your investors if you have them. Because we keep your books, the numbers are already clean and tied out when it's time to file.

How quickly do you respond?

We respond to emails and calls within one business day. If something is urgent, call directly and we'll prioritize it.

How soon can you start?

Usually within a week or two of our first conversation. If your books need cleanup, we start there. If they're current, we move straight to monthly service.
